The Budget Office runs a weekly interface with the accounting system to update the budget for non-Office for Sponsored Programs administered (A) Gift accounts. Thursday is the day designated for this interface. New funds deposited in a gift account will be available by Friday.
The budget for Gift accounts is based on the account fund balance. This prevents an account from going into deficit. Departments should plan on using gift funds after the budget line has been updated.
