Work Study accounts are used only to record work study payroll and any applicable fringe benefits. These accounts are funded centrally. On a biweekly basis, the Budget Office runs an interface to update the budget for Work Study accounts. The interface is run the day after the payroll is posted to the accounting system. The interface increases the budget for the amount of the payroll.
Departments should review their Work Study accounts. At year end the budget should equal the expense.
